Through our Portfolios group, GATX Specialty manages our own assets as well as assets and portfolios on behalf of our partners and other financial institutions.
Our ultimate goal is the maximization of portfolio value. Far from taking a passive role, we continually monitor ways to actively enhance the value of our owned and managed portfolios. This may include asset bundling and sales to a strategic buyer, asset-maintenance, or the traditional back-office and accounting functions.
We continually seek opportunities to leverage our asset management capabilities and provide value-added services to existing and newly-developed partners which may not possess GATX's infrastructure or asset expertise.
