Community Affairs
The roots of GATX Corporation's ongoing commitment to philanthropy can be traced to September 1926, when its railcars delivered relief to disaster victims.
After a massive hurricane devastated Miami, a joint venture of the company called General American-Pfaudler delivered 50,000 gallons of donated pasteurized milk in its train cars within three days. More than 80 years later, GATX remains a devoted corporate citizen serving the communities where our employees live, work and volunteer.
