ABC Cars
The Articulated Bulk Container car, or ABC, is a lightweight, articulated spine-type car designed to carry dense materials in 20- or 40-foot containers that can be double-stacked, which allows carriage of between four and eight units depending on the weight of each.  An ABC car’s gross rail load typically ranges between 359,000 – 429,000 lb.

4-Position Flat Cars
The 4-position flat car is a spine-type car that is configured to carry four 20- or two 40-foot containers that are 12 feet high.  The cars are ideally suited for lightweight containerized materials like municipal solid waste.
