Our Maintenance Shop located at Rivière des Prairies in Montréal is actively looking for an Environment, Health & Safety(EHS) Coordinator. The person in this role will be primarly working with our EHS Manager to support the facility management's goal of providing a safe and secure environment for our employees, contractors, visitors and the surrounding community in cooperation with facility and corporate Operations and EHS objectives, targets and goals. To ensure compliance with all EHS regulatory and Responsible Care requirements. To understand and strategically reduce EHS risk to all stakeholders via a proactive and continuous improvement approach. Additionally, this role will eventually have the opportunity to provide some support to our Operations Manager with the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects for our facility capital projects, to improve productivity, reduce waste and deliver cost savings. Key Activities:
Coordinate the roll out of Environment Health & Safety (EHS ) and CI Continuous Improvement trainings for shop employees
Scope of Work:
This position will interact with all employees including management, EHS, Human Resources, Quality, corporate representatives, customers, vendors, and contractors. This role will have a high level of interaction with hourly employees throughout the daily schedule. The decisions made by the person filling this position are of a technical nature, and mid to high range of complexity. This position’s primary functions are conducted in accordance with established policy and principles.
Education and/or Experience required (including certifications):

Physical requirements include outdoor work (in hot environment), climbing stairs and some heavy lifting.
Minimal travel will be required within the US and Canada.
