Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Customer Experience & Marketing, the Marketing Support Specialist will be involved with multiple aspects of GATX marketing and communications. This role will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization on a broad array of marketing efforts, such as customer communications, branding, and marketing material development. The Marketing Support Specialist will support the day-to-day tactical management of our marketing strategy which includes digital, social, event, and content marketing. Working knowledge of data and research analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and support multiple marketing projects, including material design/development, internal and external communications, and asset management
  2. Create content as needed to support marketing initiatives and Commercial projects
  3. Build and execute marketing plans, including analyzing and evaluating marketing resources to support overall marketing and communications strategy
  4. Monitor and enforce brand standards across GATX Corporation, and create presentations and reports for use internally and externally
  5. Review website content, photos and analytics (SEO and Google Analytics) to ensure optimal experience, recommending &/or executing updates as needed
  6. Assist with special events, promotions and projects as needed

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Required (including certifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, business or a related field is required
  • Proven organizational skills with experience balancing multiple projects and deadlines and an exceptional ability to manage details
  • Excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and to successfully execute projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Experience with Canva Pro &/or Adobe Creative Suite a plus

Other Requirements:

  • Travel up to 10% may be required to identify customer needs.
