This position supports the railcar product engineering function for a group of railcar product codes. The incumbent is part of a team that delivers product specifications, work instructions, and support to procure, optimize and maintain a portfolio of railcar products that meet or exceed customer, GATX, and regulatory requirements.

Scope of Work:
Interacts with shops and FMA’s to administer product specific engineering instructions and requirements. Interacts with FPM’s and ASL’s to develop railcar modification instructions that meet market and customer needs. Interact with Quality team to support training, investigate customer rejects, and clarify engineering requirements.
Education and/or Experience required (including certifications):
Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft office suite products and / or related software.
