Bogie Container Long Flat Wagon ‘BLL’
The BLL wagon is used to transport 20, 22, 24, 40, and 45 ft. intermodal containers in single stack configuration. These wagons have a carrying capacity of ~61.5 tons of cargo weight including the weight of the containers. There are 40 wagons in one rake, with each wagon being able to carry two TEUs in single stack configuration.
- Flat wagons can be inducted under Container Train Operator (CTO) license scheme of Indian Railways.
- Flat wagons under CTO license scheme are used to carry intermodal containers to cater to EXIM and domestic trade.
