The Account Solutions Associate will learn the various duties of working within the Service Delivery Group, the role will primarily focus on the Account Solutions Department and will have exposure to the Fleet Execution, Contracts, Locomotive and Mechanical Records departments. This role is team-focused and requires an individual capable of providing the levels of service necessary to achieve the highest degree of customer loyalty.  The associate will develop a good understanding of the functions performed by the Service Delivery Group and develop railcar technical knowledge. 

Responsibilities:

Account Solutions:

  • Learn the systems and processes necessary to function as or backup an Account Solutions Lead (ASL).
  • Respond to customer requests to shop cars. Communicate shopping requirements to the appropriate shop including the related supporting documents. Determine if rental abatement should be provided.
  • Review repair estimates and communicate customer liability charges to the customer. Obtain customer approval for repairs.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers for all non-Sales activities related to GATX’s leased and managed fleets.
  • Monitor and address customer compliance.
  • Participate in customer specifications review and updating process.
  • Participate in regional team meetings.

Fleet Execution:

  • Learn the systems and processes necessary to function as or backup a Fleet Execution Specialist.
  • Complete order review and entry, contract assignment and rental billing of cars.
  • Create service instructions for cars going to a repair facility for customer assignment.

Contracts:

  • Learn the basic processes of the Contracts department.
  • Assist with contract document creation.
  • Confirm deal terms in Salesforce.
  • Enter contact information into SAP.
  • Process documents in DocuSign.

 Mechanical Records:

  • Learn the basics of the Mechanical Records Database.
  • Use the MR database to support the Account Solutions and Fleet Execution departments. 

 Locomotive:

  • Learn the systems and processes necessary to function as or backup an Account Solutions Lead (ASL).
  • Respond to customer requests around billing and invoices including rental rates, maintenance repairs, abatement and taxes.
  • Assist with customer EPA compliance notifications and contact information updates.
  • Support each department through ad-hoc and/or on-going projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred); equivalent industry or customer facing experience acceptable. 0 – 2 years’ experience in a customer facing or industry related job
  • General rail industry knowledge desirable
  • Strong PC skills are required with a good knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • SAP experience is desirable
  • Some travel required to visit customers or participate in customer related events 

 

This is a hybrid position which will require the employee to work in the office at least 3 days a week throughout the year.

Salary range:

As of the post date, the salary range for this position is:
61200.00 USD - 74000.00 USD

This range is a reasonable estimate and takes into account several factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, geographic location, skill set, experience, education, training, internal equity, and other business needs.

This role may be eligible to participate in the Company’s short-term incentive plan, the details of which will be provided to the applicant upon hire.
