Named in honor of GATX founder Max Epstein, the brand reflects his forward‑thinking vision that began in 1898 with a single railcar purchase and helped shape GATX into one of North America’s largest railcar lessors today.
GATX MAX integrates advanced telematics into our railcar leasing service offering, transmitting real-time data and information about railcar location, condition, and cargo status.
